King Charles' 'great sadness' over missing Maundy service
In a recorded message, King Charles expressed "great sadness" for not attending the Maundy Thursday service.
The King, who is being treated for cancer, praised "those who extend the hand of friendship... especially in a time of need."
Queen Camilla will hand out the traditional "Maundy money" on his behalf. The King's message will be played at Worcester Cathedral.
The King made no mention of his own health or the Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis.
