Fire crews have been dealing with flooding incidents in north Cornwall and north Devon.

In Cornwall, a crew rescued two people trapped in a vehicle caught in high water on the A3072 at Redpost, near Bude, on Saturday evening.

In Devon, the fire service was called to properties in Bideford and Holsworthy overnight. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Met Office has a yellow alert warning, external for rain on Sunday.

The alert meant there was a risk of surface water flooding and possible disruption to transport, the forecaster said.

It covered the whole South West of England and would stay in place until about 22:00 BST, it added.

The Torbay Steam Fair at Churston, near Brixham in Devon, has been cancelled as a result of overnight rain.
