SIR CLIVE LOADER - Conservative
Sir Clive Loader said he had experience of running a big budget
Sir Clive Loader, external is a retired RAF serviceman who spent 30 years with the force.
As a front-line pilot he participated in air operations over Belize, the Falklands, Iraq and the Balkans before becoming air chief marshal and receiving a knighthood in 2006.
He has pledged to bring the same "effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism" to the county's force as he said could be found in the RAF during his three decades of service.
SULEMAN NAGDI - Independent
Suleman Nagdi said he had the ability to "galvanise" communities
Suleman Nagdi, external has lived in Leicester for most of his adult life and wants to use his experience as a community leader to improve the police force.
A former member of the Rhodesian Army, Mr Nagdi has served as a magistrate and a community advocate in the city.
Describing himself as "a pioneer", Mr Nagdi said he would put victims first and work to improve confidence within the police service.
SARAH RUSSELL - Labour
Sarah Russell said tackling anti-social behaviour was a priority
Sarah Russell, external has lived in Leicester for 12 years and has been a councillor with Leicester City Council since 2007.
She currently chairs the Safer Leicester Partnership which brings together the police, Probation Service, NHS and city council.
Her election pledges including opposing police services being contracted out to the private sector and targeting anti-social behaviour by guaranteeing victims get a police response within 24 hours.
