The death of a 17-year-old girl two days after being taken ill at the Reading Festival is being investigated by police.
Esme Blore, from Stevington, in Bedfordshire, died in Northampton General Hospital on Monday.
She was initially treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital on Saturday, but discharged a few hours later, a spokesman said.
Northamptonshire Police said her death was being treated as unexplained.
A Royal Berkshire Hospital spokesman confirmed Esme had visited the Reading Festival on the Saturday.
'Brightest Flames'
After returning home, she again became ill and was taken by ambulance to Northampton General Hospital in the early hours of Monday morning.
Tributes to the student have been posted on a Facebook page set up in her memory.
One reads: "The brightest flames burn the quickest."
Another says: "Such a beautiful young lady, may you RIP Esme."
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "There has been some speculation about the cause of her death and whether it is linked to her attendance at Reading Festival at the weekend, and officers are liaising with Northamptonshire Police to establish the timeline of events.
"As the investigation into the cause of her death is ongoing, we are unable to comment further at this time."
A post-mortem examination will be held later.
