Hadrian's Wall of Sound takes BBC music west to east

North Tyneside was the end of a unique relay that has involved hundreds of musicians, playing dozens of instruments, travelling west to east from Cumbria to Tyneside.

Hadrian's Wall of Sound was a celebration of our rich and diverse musical heritage with live performances all day along the 73m (117km) stretch of the Wall.

It started very early in the morning at Bowness-on-Solway in Cumbria.
