HMP Long Lartin prisoner sentenced for inmate's murder

A prisoner who killed a fellow inmate has been told he will spend the rest of his life in jail.
Russell Anthony Oliver, 46, attacked John York in his cell at high-security HMP Long Lartin in May 2015, West Mercia Police said.
York, 25, who was jailed for life in 2013 for beating a man to death, died from head injuries.
Mr Justice Haddon-Cave handed Oliver a whole-life sentence at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday.
Co-accused Stephen Boorman, 31, was cleared of killing York, from Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.
