Warnings of floods, snow and ice have been issued for parts of the East of England.

Snow and ice would affect north and east Norfolk and north east Suffolk on Monday, the Met Office said.

Flood warnings are also in place in both counties and Peterborough, with alerts published for the rest of Cambridgeshire and Essex.

The Environment Agency said people should be vigilant around "dangerous" flood water.

Those living in properties next to the River Yare between Norwich and Great Yarmouth - including in Cantley, Brundall and Reedham - have been warned to prepare for flooding, which could also have an impact on the River Burn from South Creake to Burnham Thorpe in the county's north-west.

In Suffolk, warnings are in place affecting Bawdsey Quay, Felixstowe Ferry and low-lying properties along the River Waveney.

And a warning has been published to the south of the River Nene east of Peterborough, including around the B1040 between Whittlesey and Thorney.

Several flood alerts (meaning flooding is possible) were also in place along the Essex coast and in Newmarket, Suffolk.

It comes amid a yellow weather warning of snow and ice for north and east Norfolk and north east Suffolk.

Those areas could see up to five centimetres of snow, the Met Office said.

"The showers will clear into the evening with untreated surfaces then becoming icy," a spokesperson added.
