Guided busway construction forces Luton road closures

Motorists are being warned to expect delays on some of the main routes into Luton over the next few weeks.
Roads in the town are being closed to allow construction of the guided busway between Luton and Dunstable.
Luton Borough Council said the closures had been organised to keep disruption to a minimum.
"We appreciate this will cause inconvenience and wish to apologise in advance," said Councillor Roy Davis.
"We are building the busway in order to tackle congestion and reduce journey times across Luton and Dunstable."
Part of New Bedford Road will be changed to one-way traffic between Mill Street and Collingdon Street until 19 March.
General traffic will be prohibited, with diversions set up via Inkerman Street.
A stretch of Dunstable Road between Telford Way and Hazelbury Crescent will be closed to overnight traffic for five nights from Monday 13 February to allow removal of a bridge parapet.
Pedestrian access through the closures will not be affected.
Full details of all road closures are available on the Luton Borough Council, external website.
