Bedfordshire glider pilot death crash inquest opened

An inquest has been opened into the death of a glider pilot who crashed into a field in Bedfordshire.

Michael Teychenne, 65, died from multiple injuries when his glider came down near to Harling Road, in Eaton Bray, on 30 April.

The inquest, in Bedford, heard Mr Teychenne, of Copperkins Lane, in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is examining what caused the crash.
