Beaconsfield murder probe: Man arrested after woman's body found

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman in her 40s was found.

Police were called to Seeleys Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, at about 06:20 GMT on Friday and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene,

A 39-year-old man from Beaconsfield was arrested and remains in police custody.

Det Insp Nick Hind said he believed it was an isolated incident and added his thoughts were with the victim's family and friends.

He said: "We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this incident."

The victim has not been named but specialist officers from Thames Valley Police have been supporting her family.
