Two people injured in German Shepherd dog attack in Croxley Green

Hertfordshire Police said it had to "destroy" the dog after the incident by a canal path near Croxley Green

Two people required medical attention after they were attacked by a dog.

Hertfordshire Police said it was called to a canal path near Woodland Chase in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, at about 11:30 BST on Sunday.

East of England Ambulance Service said one of the people was taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment.

The German Shepherd was destroyed by firearms officers after attempts to contain it and find its owners were unsuccessful.
