Murder arrest over missing Ascot woman

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman who is missing from her home in Berkshire.

Police said the arrest followed a telephone call they received at about 0800 GMT which raised concerns for the welfare of the woman.

Officers have not yet located the woman, who is in her 40s and from the Ascot area.

Thames Valley Police said the arrested man was in his 40s and from the Windsor area.
