A section of the M4 near Reading is to be closed overnight after work to install a new bridge was delayed because of bad weather.

The bridge is part of the construction of the Shinfield Eastern Relief Road.

Beams for the bridge were put in place in December but high winds meant work on the deck could not be completed.

The relief road is intended to provide access to nearly 2,400 new homes and the University of Reading's planned science park south of the M4.

The motorway is due to be shut between junctions 10 and 11 for three nights, with traffic diverted on to the B3270 and A329(M).
