A woman has died after being hit by a lorry while walking on the M4 motorway in Berkshire.

The woman was hit at about 04:15 GMT as she walked on the eastbound carriageway between J5 for Langley/Staines and J4B for the M25/Heathrow Airport.

Thames Valley Police said they had yet to identify the woman's next of kin. The driver of the lorry was uninjured and no arrests have been made.
