A man has died after he was hit by an SUV in a hospital car park.

A grey Mitsubishi Outlander hit the 55-year-old in the multi-storey at Royal Berkshire Hospital at about 16:45 GMT on Wednesday, Thames Valley Police said.

Part of the car park was cordoned off following the incident, but has since reopened.

The victim's next of kin have been informed. The force is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

The hospital remained open throughout and has urged anyone with an appointment to attend as normal.
