An 18-year-old has denied murdering a Birmingham rapper in a street stabbing.

Armani Deniro Mitchell is accused of killing Joshua Ribera, 18, who was attacked in September near TC's nightclub in Selly Oak.

Birmingham Crown Court heard Mr Mitchell, of The Green, Northfield, is due to face trial on 3 March.

After the hearing, West Midlands Police said an officer fired a Taser at a man when disorder broke out at 15:30 GMT.

BBC Midlands Today's Sian Lloyd, who attended the hearing, said she saw about 25 people "being disruptive" inside.

Mr Ribera, a rapper from the Moseley area, used the stage name Depzman.
