Birmingham will not sue Fox News over 'Muslim-only city' claim

Birmingham will not sue Fox News for reporting parts of the city are "no-go zones" for non-Muslims, the city council has said.
The council commented after Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said she was suing the US broadcaster over comments it broadcast about the French capital in the aftermath of terror attacks.
US terrorism commentator Steve Emerson made the comments about Birmingham.
The council said although the comments were "bonkers" it had moved on.
'End of story'
Councillor James McKay, cabinet member for social cohesion, equalities and community safety, said: "The comments about Birmingham were a bit bonkers.
"We said so. Fox News corrected them. We've all moved on. End of story."
Following attacks in Paris this month in which 17 people were killed, most of them at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine, national security expert Nolan Peterson said on Fox there were "no-go zones" in Paris that made the city feel "a bit like Afghanistan".
Fox News has since issued on-air apologies for the comments.
Mr Emerson, whose comments led to a Twitter backlash with the hashtag Fox News Facts trending, has since donated £500 to Birmingham Children's Hospital.
