An old Typhoo factory could get back its 'ooh' with £200m digi hub plan

A cash injection of £200m is to be spent helping a derelict Typhoo tea factory stir into life.

The site is set to become a small business digital hub as Birmingham City Council looks to re-brand the former industrial part of the Digbeth area.

The factory, used by Typhoo from the mid 1920s to the late 1970s, is close to the proposed Birmingham HS2 station at Curzon Street.

Developers hope the location will help to attract businesses to the area.
