The puppies, now named Blitzen and Vixen, were provided by Surrey Police
Two new canine police recruits have been given festive names by the public.
The West Midlands force had appealed for help in naming the German Shepherds acquired from Surrey Police.
After "thousands of suggestions", it said, the puppies were named Blitzen and Vixen - after two of Father Christmas's reindeer.
The force thanked those who participated after announcing the winning suggestions on Christmas Day.
