HS2: Footage of demolished M42 bridge in Solihull
A 4,000-tonne bridge over the M42 motorway has been demolished to make way for the HS2 railway.
Demolition experts used excavators to remove the bridge in 52 hours, while articulated dumper trucks took the rubble away from the scene in Solihull.
It is the second of two bridges over the M42 that have been demolished to allow for the high-speed railway project.
Work will begin in March to build a structure that will carry HS2 trains over the motorway.
