A body recovered from the River Avon in Bath is thought to be that of missing student James Bubear, police say.
The body was spotted in the river by a worker from the Environment Agency, at 0950 BST, near the Locksbrook sluice gates at Twerton.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said James's family was being kept informed of developments.
James, 19, from Llandrindod Wells, Powys, was last seen on 13 March during a night out with friends.
CCTV captured the Bath Spa University student during his night out walking along James Street West, outside the Odeon cinema.
Police previously searched the River Avon and routes Mr Bubear might have walked on the way to his student flat on the Lower Bristol Road, but no trace of him has yet been found.
His family and friends joined a march to highlight his disappearance while more than 11,000 people have signed up to a campaign on Facebook to try to find him.
