Grants offered for crime prevention in Bristol

A new £200,000 fund has been launched in the Bristol area to help fight neighbourhood crime.

The money is being made available by the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Sue Mountstevens, as part of the Police and Crime Plan.

Voluntary groups and community organisations are invited to bid for a grant of up to £5,000 each.

It is hoped the scheme will help combat issues such as domestic violence, burglary and anti-social behaviour.
