An exhibition of 80 Gromit statues that made up an arts trail in and around Bristol will open for an extra day due to popular demand.

Due to close on Sunday, the statues will now remain on show until Monday in the former Habitat store on Queens Road.

People will also now be able to visit from 8:00 to 20:00 BST on Saturday.

Spokeswoman Nicola Masters said: "We have been delighted and overwhelmed by the response from the public."

More than 3,500 people visited the exhibition when it opened on Wednesday.

The statues will be auctioned on 3 October to raise money for Bristol's Children's Hospital and visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to place a sealed bid prior to the auction.
