A shopping centre and multi-storey car park will reopen today after a power outage caused a three-day closure.

The Galleries shopping centre in Bristol, which is home to more than 70 stores and retailers, has been closed to visitors since Monday morning.

A spokesperson for the shopping centre said the car park would be open from 06:30 BST and shops from 09:00 BST.

"We are looking forward to welcoming customers back into the centre," The Galleries said in a statement.

The spokesperson added "some businesses may take a short while to get up and running again" following the closure and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.

The Bristol Eye Hospital runs a non-urgent assessment clinic inside the shopping centre and more than 300 appointments have been cancelled or re-scheduled.

"We are contacting affected patients directly to rearrange appointments," said a University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson.
