Crimestoppers has launched an appeal following repeated arson attacks on a business in Regent Street

Repeated arson attacks on a Bristol business have led to an appeal for information being launched.

A business premises underneath residential flats along Regent Street in Clifton has been targeted on a number of occasions.

The most recent attack happened at about 23:25 BST on 14 February and investigators have released an image of a person they wish to speak to.

Crimestoppers is offering a £2,500 reward for information.

Avon and Somerset Police said the fire in February caused considerable damage to the building but no-one was injured.

The force wishes to speak to a person, captured on CCTV, who is described as about 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall, with an average build.

They were wearing a distinctive olive green, parka-style jacket and black jeans.

It is believed the same person was also present when the business was targeted by an arsonist on 21 December 2022, when windows were smashed and an accelerant poured through a letterbox.

Karen MacDonald from Crimestoppers said: "Often it's the smallest piece of information that can be key to catching someone responsible for deliberately starting fires, which is why we are appealing to anybody who has suspicions or knows who is involved to come forward.

"We know that for some people it can be difficult to speak directly to the authorities, which is why our charity, independent of the police, is here to help.

"If you noticed anyone acting suspiciously around the time of the arson attacks, then tell our charity what you know."
