M4 crash: Man dies in serious collision between car and lorry

A man has died after a crash involving a car and a lorry.
National Highways South West said the incident happened at about 04:44 GMT.
The road was shut for more than nine hours on the Prince of Wales Bridge, near Almondsbury, but has since reopened.
Avon and Somerset Police said his next of kin had been informed and would like any witnesses of the collision between junctions 22 (M49) and 21 (M48) to come forward.

No one else involved in the collision suffered any injuries, Avon and Somerset Police said.
National Highways said it was assisting with traffic management and warned drivers to still expect delays in the area.
It first posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the closure was in place eastbound, before follow-up messages confirmed both directions had reopened.
