Bristol: Body found in hunt for missing man

A body has been found as part of a search for a missing 35-year-old man.

Vincent Le Goascoz, who was originally from France, was last seen on Redcliff Street in Bristol, at about 01:30 GMT on 2 December.

Police divers found a body at nearby Redcliff Quay in the city on Wednesday morning.

Avon and Somerset Police said that the death was not being treated as suspicious and thanked the public for contacting them with information.

A spokesperson said that formal identification had not yet taken place but family members had been informed and were being supported.

They added: "Our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time."
