About two hundred people took part in the fundraising charity dip on Minehead Beach
Hundreds of swimmers have braved the icy waters of the Bristol Channel for a New Year's Day dip to raise money for a hospice in Somerset.
Two hundred people took the plunge at Minehead Beach in aid of St Margaret's Hospital.
The charity aims to raise £10,000 to pay for 100 specialist community nurses.
Swimmer Louise from Wellington said she managed five to six minutes until her "feet were absolutely freezing".

It is hoped the charity dip will help pay for 100 specialist community nurses
"For every five people that went into the water, that pays for one hour of care for one person on our in-patient unit in the Taunton hospice," she said.
About £5,500 has been raised in entry and sponsorship fees and the number is expected to rise.
