Attempted murder charge after boy, 16, stabbed at McDonald's

A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed.

The 16-year-old boy was attacked in a Bristol city centre McDonald's at about 20:15 GMT on 8 February.

Joel Binnings, 19, of Fishponds, has been charged with attempted murder and possessing a knife in public.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The 16-year-old boy remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Avon and Somerset Police said two men aged 18 and 19, previously arrested in connection with the incident, are on conditional police bail, and a 13-year-old boy has been released without charge.
