The 51st Cambridge Folk Festival, with headliners The Proclaimers, Joan Baez, Passenger and Frank Turner, has seen another sell-out year.
All 12,300 tickets were snapped up for the four-day event, which finishes on Sunday at Cherry Hinton Hall.
Sara Garnham, chairwoman of charity Cambridge Live, which runs the festival, said: "I'm very excited. It has all been going very well."
She said it was "great how many new acts you discover at the festival".
Ms Garnham added: "Passenger (singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg) was busking here about four or five years ago and now he is headlining Sunday night."
Singer/songwriter Bella Hardy, BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year 2014, who is playing the main stage on Sunday, said: "I love the family-friendly nature of the festival."
She has helped run music workshops at the festival for more than 10 years.
Other highlights include Cambridge folk singer and musician Hannah Sanders, Norfolk folk band The Sam Kelly Trio, singer/songwriter Callaghan - originally from Lincolnshire but now living in Nashville in the USA - and Orkney band Fara.
Sue Marchant will be broadcasting to BBC radio stations in the east live from the Cambridge Folk Festival from 19:00 to 22:00 BST on Sunday.
