Peterborough man Faisal Khan admits attempted murder of nine-year-old boy

A man has admitted the attempted murder of a nine-year-old boy who was stabbed in the face while out walking.

The boy was walking with his older brother when he was repeatedly stabbed in the head in Peveril Road, Peterborough, on 8 May 2021.

Faisal Khan, 26, of Almond Road, Peterborough, pleaded guilty at Cambridge Crown Court.

The court said a charge relating to possession of a knife in a public place would "lie on file".

Khan is due to be sentenced in July.

Police said Khan and the victim were not known to each other.
