A motorist who crashed into a lamppost and turned their car over was a learner driver, according to police.

The collision happened at about 02:00 GMT in St Neots Road, Eaton Ford.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary said they were neither supervised nor displaying "L" plates, as required by their provisional licence.

The motorist was reported to the Crown Prosecution Service for driving "otherwise in accordance with" their licence, the force said.
