Watch: Drink-driver caught napping on Godmanchester dual carriageway

Bodycam footage shows the moment police approached a man who had parked his car on a dual carriageway and gone to sleep.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary said it thought he had broken down on the A1307 at Godmanchester on 28 January but realised he was asleep with the engine running.

Emmanuel Osei, 34, of Maple Drive in Huntingdon, told them he was feeling tired and needed a rest and admitted he had been drinking alcohol that night.

At Peterborough Magistrates' Court, Osei pleaded guilty to drink-driving and was banned from driving for three years and six months, and must also carry out 120 hours' unpaid community work within the next year.
