Motorists targeted in Devon and Cornwall crackdown

A summer campaign targeting motorists who flout traffic laws has started in Devon and Cornwall.

Operation Vortex involves unmarked patrols on roads such as the A30, A38 and A361 and runs until 31 July.

Sgt Phillip Grigg said: "Our intention is to make everyone think about their driving behaviour and not only when a marked police car is in sight.

"Motorists must realise it is they who have to take responsibility for using the roads within the law."
