The first homes to be built at the Heartlands project in the Camborne-Pool-Redruth area have gone on sale.

The multi-million pound initiative is redeveloping an area of tin mining land in west Cornwall.

The one and two-bedroomed apartments are situated on an old mine site. The seven apartments are priced up to around £120,000.

The Cornwall Council-led Heartlands project has attracted investments totalling £35m.

The 20-acre site at Pool, near the South Crofty tin mine, will also feature parks, gardens, artists' studios and cafes as well as housing.

The development is due to be completed later this year.
