Cornwall helicopter crews in joint rescue

Helicopters from RNAS Culdrose and the Cornwall Air Ambulance were involved
Air rescue crews joined forces to take two people who had fallen from disused tin mine workings to hospital.
They fell about 20ft (6m) from the remains at Cape Cornwall on Tuesday evening.
A 52-year-old man is believed to have suffered major injuries. The second man's condition is unknown.
A Cornwall Air Ambulance aircraft, which took one man, was unable to reach the other injured man, who was winched aboard an RNAS Culdrose helicopter.
Both men were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
The Culdrose winchman, Warrant Officer Ian Thompson, said: "A group of paramedics had stabilised the man, so it was just a case of packing him up in a stretcher ready for extraction."
