A blaze which raged through a leisure complex has finally been put out 28 hours after it destroyed two buildings.
The fire happened at Carvynick Country Club in Summercourt, near Newquay, in the early hours of Saturday.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was a "particularly difficult one to fight" and is investigating.
Witnesses said the buildings were "completely burnt to the ground". No-one was injured but people staying in residential units were evacuated.
At its height, more than 40 firefighters from across Cornwall tackled the blaze.
St Austell Fire Station manager, Mike Tremellen said the main concern was "getting the fire under control as soon as possible".
"It was already substantially involving the building at the far end of the complex, which was the main gymnasium, so it was a lot of work to do for the first responding crews in order to try and ascertain what was going on," he added.
The leisure complex had recently undergone a major renovation and it is thought £100,000 worth of equipment has been lost.
The managers of the park said guests due to stay at the resort over the next few weeks will be kept "fully updated".
