Firefighters free driver trapped under tree near Looe

A driver trapped in his car under a fallen tree has been freed by firefighters.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called on Wednesday at 11:58 GMT to the A387 Carracawn Cross to Hessenford road near Looe.

The service said crews from Liskeard, Looe and Bodmin released the man at about 13:20, after a "substantial tree" fell on his car.

It added he was left in the care of paramedics.

No further details have been given about the man's injuries.
