South West Water received reports of discoloured water at Trevaunance Cove

A water provider has investigated after reports of "discoloured water" entering the sea at a beach in Cornwall.

South West Water said it looked into the reason water running into Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, had turned brown.

In a statement it said "discolouration in the bay has been caused by run off from agricultural land".

It added the water source contained brown water upstream from its storm overflow.
