The City of Coventry Stadium is due to host the official Olympic football test event later.
The winner of the men's match between Senegal and Oman, which kicks off at 19:45 GMT, will be awarded the final place in the 2012 Games.
Coventry will host 12 matches during the Olympics, including the women's bronze play-off.
The stadium, usually known as the Ricoh Arena, has been renamed for the purposes of the Olympics.
The 32,000-seat venue, home of Coventry City Football Club, is also required to cover up advertising logos and signage.
The competition's official launch was held in the city last month, where it was also announced the match ball would be named The Albert.
Olympic football matches will also be held in London, Newcastle, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow.
The men's and women's tournaments both start before the Olympic opening ceremony, making football the first action of the 2012 Games.
