An appeal to raise funds for more hospice nurses has reached £90,000 - enough money for a third nurse.

BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's 12-month Myton hospices campaign, which was started in October 2011, reached £30,000 in February and £60,000 in May.

The radio station said £90,000, which has been banked or pledged, covers paying for recruiting, training and supporting three nurses for a year.

Myton Hospice says each new nurse will care for 43 extra patients.

Fundraising packs are available from Myton, external.
