Nicola Payne case: Coventry murder suspects bail extended

Two men arrested on suspicion of the abduction and murder of Nicola Payne 22 years ago have had their bail extended.

Ms Payne was last seen in the Henley Green area of Coventry on 14 December 1991, when she was 18.

The men, both 49, were arrested on 17 December on suspicion of abduction and murder. They were given conditional bail until 6 March, police said.

A woman, 51, arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice also had her bail extended until 6 March.

No charges have been brought in connection with the case and no body has ever been found.

Ms Payne's family have been made aware of the latest developments, West Midlands Police said.
