Coventry crash: Man dies in collision between car and van

A man has died in a crash between a car and a van in Coventry.
It happened at about 18:40 GMT on Thursday at the junction of Leaf Lane and the A444 dual carriageway.
The driver of the car died at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said.
A second man, the driver of the van, received treatment for injuries not believed to be serious and was discharged at the scene.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from the air ambulance service attended the crash.
WMAS said the driver received advanced life support from ambulance staff at the scene.
"Unfortunately, despite their best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene," it added.
