Warwickshire police officer denies assault charges

A Warwickshire police officer has appeared in court charged with three counts of assault and one of sexual assault.
Paul Whitehurst, who has served with the force for 21 years, denied the charges at Chester Crown Court.
The 52-year-old from Nantwich was arrested on 13 December.
The detective sergeant has been suspended from duty, said Warwickshire Police.
A trial date has been set for 24 June, 2024.
