Lake District portrayed in graphic art postcards

Seven comic illustrators have followed in the footsteps of William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter by taking inspiration from the Lake District.
The area is depicted in graphic art-style in a set of works entitled "Wish You Were Here - postcards from the edge of reality".
They will be auctioned in London later in the year.
Proceeds will go to the Lakes International Comic Art Festival and the charity Comics Literary Awareness.
Dave Gibbon, the first comics laureate who is best known as artist of The Watchmen, created a postcard entitled All Your Lakes Are Belong To Us.
Steven Appleby, who creates comic strips for newspapers including The Guardian and The Times, said his postcard was inspired by Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons.
He said: "I got lost in the books as a child and have reread them many times since.
"They made me aware for the first time that it's possible to rename and re-imagine the world, and then step into it."
Many of the artists will be attending The Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal from 16-18 October.
The festival features talks, cinema, live drawing and exhibitions.
Festival director Julie Tait, said: "The Festival brings together internationally renowned comic artists in a world class landscape hoping to inspire future generations of creators and readers.
"The postcard project, in a snapshot, aims to show the versatility and accessibility of comic art."
