Funds to improve community safety in Derbyshire

More than £117,000 is being spent by the county council to improve safety in Derbyshire communities.
The council is spending £10,000 on CCTV cameras at Hadfield railway station and £20,814 for wireless CCTV cameras in Broad Pavement in Chesterfield.
A total of £27,140 is being spent on security equipment for homes in Bolsover, North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield.
Victims of crime in South Derbyshire are also getting free burglar alarms.
The council said it had listened to people's views before allocating the funds.
It is also funding activities for young people across the county to cut anti-social behaviour.
Councillor Carol Hart said: "We've listened to local people's concerns about what they would like to see improved and the problems they would like to see tackled.
"We're delighted to be able to provide this money to local communities to make them even safer places to live."
