Burst main sends water shooting into air in Derbyshire village

A damaged pipe in a farmer's field sent gallons of water shooting feet in to the air and flooded a nearby village.

It was brought under control by Severn Trent four hours later but sent a torrent of water flooding in to the homes and businesses of Milford, Derbyshire.

Ian Busting said his wife's florist business had been "ruined" by the flooding.

Severn Trent said they are checking on their customers but do not believe anyone will lose their water supply.
