Woman, 60, dies after Derby house fire

A 60-year-old woman has died following a house fire in Derby.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a semi-detached property in Sunnyhill Avenue at 10:52 GMT on Sunday.

Firefighters entered the property and found a woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crew will be in the area on Tuesday to speak to residents while a joint police and fire investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
