Two arrests have been made after a Lamborghini car crashed on a Derbyshire road.

The driver of the Lamborghini Huracan had failed to stop for officers near Chesterfield at about 01:00 GMT on Saturday, Derbyshire Police said.

But after attempting to drive off, it came to a stop anyway - after crashing on the A617.

No other vehicles were involved apart from the Huracan, valued between £235,110 and £246,558 by Auto Trader.

The force has now confirmed a woman in her 20s was arrested at the scene after a male suspect made off on foot.

Police say a man, also in his 20s, was arrested soon after.

A spokesperson said: "Both have been bailed pending further inquiries."
