Derbyshire Police have advised drivers to avoid the road

A Derbyshire road has been shut to drivers after a vehicle crashed into a gas main.

Officers warned that Stubley Lane in Dronfield was likely to remain shut "for some time" while the incident is dealt with.

The crash happened at about 10:00 BST, the force said.

A spokesperson told the BBC no injuries had been reported but it may take some time for the incident to be dealt with safely.

Motorists have been advised to find an alternative route.
